Virtual Detector

Introducing the worlds first virtual addressable Aspirating Smoke Detector
  • Sample ports are assigned a virtual address.
  • Pinpoints the location where smoke is first detected.
  • Avoids delays associated with scanner type devices that utilize mechanical valves.
  • Provides enhanced strength and reliability of cross zoning.
  • Each sample port can have four alarm thresholds assigned.
  • Graphical display at Command Module can display smoke levels detected at each sample port.
  • Individual sample ports can be assigned to a dedicated Remote Display Unit (RDU) providing a graphical representation of smoke levels detected. Additionally, RDU's can be fitted with a relay board providing outputs for the four alarm thresholds associated with each sample port.
  • Simple to setup and configure.

Description

AirSense Technology is proud to introduce the world’s first ‘Virtual Smoke Detector’.

Our developments in aspirating smoke detector signalling architecture have enabled us to perfect and patent a revolutionary cross-matrix system to provide fully localized detection with relatively few physical detection units. This provides the substantial advantage of very high sensitivity and a high number of unique addresses at minimal cost and with the added strength of cross zoning.

The principle of operation is that sampling pipes are routed from multiple detectors to a multitude of ‘crossover’ points. Each crossover point has a unique detector address and is treated as if it were a separate device, having multiple alarm thresholds, smoke level bargraphs, address, etc.
